Birthday Update
Yesterday I reached the ripe old age of 27 years. What’s going on with me?
Family
Anneliese is 14 months old now, and that’s just amazing. She continues to blow me away with how fast she is learning. Jennifer is feeling better and better with NewBaby, so that’s looking good too.
Internship
Internship continues to go well. As Jennifer so aptly put it on Sunday, “Lent is finally over!” We can catch a breather and gear up for the last three-and-a-half months of ministry here in Sterling. My last Sunday will be July 18th; in the meantime, I’ve got a lot planned. I’ll be working on musical leadership for the Women’s Day of Prayer, teaching a number of adult classes on Sundays, hanging out with some cool preschool- through second-graders, and preaching. My supervisor, Pr. Mark Oehlert, will be going on sabbatical starting June 1, so I’ll have some extra responsibilities in that as well. It’ll be a solid ending to a solid year.
Music
Music really took a hiatus during Lent, but I’m happy to report that I’ll be serving as one of the Chapel Musicians at Wartburg starting in the Fall. That mostly means I’ll be helping to plan music, arrange musicians to play, etc., but also means I will get to do some playing myself.
Writing
With Internet Evangelism Day coming up at the end of this month, I intend to finalize and publish some research on church websites I’ve had on the back burner for a while.
